| | | 10/24/2011 | Regan Peltier and the Lady Eagles volleyball team have had an amazing year that is still moving forward.
The Eagles earned a first place seed in the District 12 playoff at Republic.
On October 24th, the Lady Eagles faced 8th seeded Neosho in the opening round. Nixa took care of business very quickly, defeating Neosho 25-12, 25-11.
Peltier had 8 Kills on 12 Attacks for a .667 Kill% and a .583 Hitting Efficiency.
But above those stats, Regan reached a milestone not many volleyball players, at any level, have the opportunity to be a part of. With the win over Neosho, Regan became the first player in Nixa volleyball history to attain 100 career varsity wins. Regan gives credit to all of the teammates she has played with since her freshman year in helping reach that milestone.
It is rarely used statistics as it is so rarely attained in a player's four short years.
The season is not over for Nixa. District play has just begun and the Nixa Lady Eagles have their set on reaching state

Volleyball Team Earns top GPA for FAll Sports Congratulations to all of our student-athletes who participated in Nixa High School athletics in the fall season. Every fall sport has earned scholastic achievement awards through the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). These team awards are based off the team’s grade point average during the semester of participation. Those teams who earned the Distinguished Scholastic Achievement Award (GPA = 3.00-3.24) included freshman football, boys cross country, boys swimming, and varsity/jv football. The remaining teams earned the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award (GPA = 3.25-4.00). The volleyball and girls cross country team led the pack that also included girls tennis, girls golf, softball, and boys soccer. The Volleyball team is in the top spot with a 3.73 GPA! It can be a difficult task for teenagers to balance athletics and academics. The student-athletes and coaches are to be commended for the emphasis they put on academics to make sure that we are not only successful in the athletic arena but more importantly in the classroom as well.
Peltier invited to USA Youth National Team Tryouts in Colorado Springs, CO Regan Peltier, sophomore at Nixa High School, was invited to attend the USA Volleyball High Performance Indoor evaluations at Colorado Springs, CO as a training team member. The U.S. Girls’ Youth National Training Team members trained at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs from December 26 to January 1. Due to the early schedule date for the 2010 NORCECA Girls’ Youth Continental Championship held April 3-11 at Guatemala, the training squad was comprised of the top evaluated rising Select-age athletes from 2009.
Peltier was named as the first alternate in the Middle Blocker position for this 12-person team.
